As a private and group violin teacher with over 10 years of experience, I have learned that how music is taught is often more important than what music is taught. To that end, I have spent time learning how to best communicate technical requirements while encouraging student expression. I have experience in playing classical, Scottish, Danish, Irish, Americana, pop, and improvisatory styles and seek to incorporate a variety of styles atop the foundation of Suzuki repertoire. These alternative styles might show up as technical skill studies, group class pieces, or as performance pieces in addition to the familiar Suzuki pieces.
