Finding a Suzuki Teacher

All Suzuki pupils have weekly individual lessons with a BSI qualified teacher. If you are searching for a teacher please visit the britishsuzuki.org.uk where you will find a list of teachers organised by instrument and area. Our pupils all have individual lessons with LSG registered teachers, we do not give group lessons to children without an individual lesson teacher.

Joining Group Lessons

Email sign-up

To join DSG you will need to first become a member of London Suzuki Group, please click here for information about LSG membership . Once you have a membership number your individual lesson teacher will give you the Jotform link to register your child. You will also need to join our mailing list, please click here (or on ‘SUBSCRIBE’ at the bottom of the page) to access the form.

Secondary school pupils are also required to sign a code of conduct if you wish to leave them unaccompanied (again, link will be provided by your teacher).

Please do check with your teacher that they are happy for you to join our group lessons if they are not one of our regular teachers.

Our group lessons are for violinists and violists only but cellists are very welcome to join our orchestra and chamber music groups. Please contact us for more information.

Attendance

Please arrive 10 minutes before the start of your class to allow time to sign in, find your room and unpack. Since we only meet once a month your commitment to regular attendance is incredibly important. A child who has missed a class or arrives late can feel left behind, this can be demotivating for them and late arrivals are also disruptive for the rest of the group.

Cancellation of Membership

Half a term’s notice in writing is required if you are leaving DSG, this may be given at least 2 weeks before the first or third lesson of term. You will liable to pay fees until we have received an email from you to let us know that you are leaving.
